The history of the Hollowchester Outlet Mall began in 1962, when August Burnett bought the land that would later be turned into the mall. Mr. Burnett and his construction company, Burnett Construction Co., started to build the very beginnings of the mall. It started off small, with only four shops, as well as the visitor's center, which was Mr. Burnett's pride and joy. Our mascot, Harry, was first conceptualized by Mr. Burnett himself, and he decided to include a model of it in the visitor's center. The model of Harry was created by , who still works for the company to this day!
Hollowchester Outlet Mall expanded over the years, and eventually became the powerhouse it's known for being today!
